What the Bible Says About Food & Healthy Eating

What does the Holy Bible say about food, health and healthy eating?

Growing up I had almost zero knowledge on health and nutrition, so when my health started to suffer before I was diagnosed with my auto-immune disease several years ago, I looked to where I always go for lessons, instruction and wisdom: God’s Word.

I found a lot information on healthy eating, and it was then I subscribed to what I believe is called the “Leviticus diet”, which is basically only eating what can and cannot be eaten according to God’s law stated in Leviticus 11.

Coincidentally, a few years after, my aunt gifted me a book, What the Bible Says About Healthy Living, which was a Godsend! It was such a sweet and timely gift. The book is written by Rex Russel, M.D. in accordance to the Bible and though it was written in the early 90s, the information is timeless, since God’s way never changes, and very important for today.

I believe it’s now common knowledge that cleaning detergents, soaps, liquids and other products available on the market today are clock-full of some of the most toxic ingredients; ingredients that can greatly affect the health and well-being of everyone in the family.

I once read that the air in our homes are up to 5 times worse than outside air thanks to all the toxic chemicals and such used in our homes — isn’t the frightening?!
